Data Scientist (Backfill)

Data Scientist - Denver Metro Area (Hybrid)
The Select Group is seeking a Data Scientist to support one of our telecommunications clients in the Denver Metro Area. In this role, you will apply advanced statistical techniques, strong Python skills, and analytical expertise to uncover insights from large data sets related to the telecom industry. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex data findings into clear recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders.
Data Scientist Responsibilities

• Apply statistical modeling and advanced analytics to large telecommunications data sets.
• Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to generate business insights.
• Perform large-scale data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
• Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
• Present analytical models and results to stakeholders, explaining methodology and outcomes clearly.
• Work closely with product owners, engineers, and leadership to translate data insights into actionable strategies.

• 5+ years of Data Science experience with a strong focus on data manipulation and statistical modeling.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, data warehouses, and data marts.
• Experience working with large data sets and tools used to obtain, transform, and store data in big data and streaming environments.
• 5+ years of Python experience, including expert-level use of Python libraries for advanced analytics.
• 5+ years of SQL and Excel experience demonstrating strong analytical and data querying capabilities.
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying machine learning and analytics models.
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex insights.
• Proven ability to present analytical results and recommendations to technical teams and executive leadership.
• Experience delivering insights from structured and unstructured data in a consultative capacity
