Position: Supply Demand Planner
Location: Austin, TX (onsite Tu-Thu)
Duration: 9+ month contract with potential to extend
Overview
The Supply Demand Planner is responsible for generating and maintaining weekly forecasts for refurb component supply to support global procurement and operations teams. This role plays a critical part in aligning supply with demand by identifying component shortages, assessing risk, and communicating potential impacts to the broader supply chain. The planner partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate planning, clear communication, and continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Own global refurb supply and demand planning activities.
- Analyze weekly actuals against forecasts to develop an accurate weekly refurb supply plan.
- Identify component shortages and communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation plans.
- Publish and reconcile weekly supply plans, ensuring gaps and changes are clearly communicated and addressed.
- Lead and coordinate weekly cadence calls with global stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure supply plans align with demand targets and operational goals.
- Collaborate with APAC and EMEA operations teams to secure capacity and materials needed to meet quarterly targets.
- Coordinate issue resolution and enhancement requests between business teams and warehouse operations.
- Support executive-level reporting with clear, data-driven insights.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience analyzing large data sets and performing ad hoc analysis.
- Strong understanding of reverse supply chain concepts.
- Proven ability to merge data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.
- Experience blending quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced Tableau experience, including creating and maintaining dashboards.
- Experience extracting data from Snowflake or similar databases.
- Strong communication skills, including experience presenting insights to senior or executive-level audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience extracting data using SQL queries (pre-written queries available; prior experience is a plus).
- SQL query experience.
- SAP PD2 experience.
- Refurb or service-based supply chain experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or
- Advanced degree with 1–2 years of related experience.
- Industrial Engineering degree is a plus.
