CERTIFIED EPIC CLINDOC/ORDERS CONSULTANT | REMOTE
The Select Group is seeking an Epic ClinDoc & Orders Consultant to support one of our top healthcare partners. This role will focus on implementing and supporting Epic ClinDoc and Behavioral Health workflows that enhance patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accurate patient belonging tracking.
Project Details
This Consultant will provide operational backfill support and ongoing BAU (Business As Usual) optimization within the Epic environment. This consultant will ensure stability, continuity, and enhancement of clinical documentation and order workflows while internal resources focus on strategic initiatives.
A secondary priority for this role (preferred but not required) is support of a Behavioral Health implementation, including workflows related to Patient Belongings, Provider Collaboration, Patient Safety, and Security.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for Epic ClinDoc and Orders modules
- Maintain and optimize clinical documentation templates, navigators, SmartTools, and order sets
- Support break/fix, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Participate in change management processes, including build, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to evaluate workflow improvement opportunities
- Ensure build aligns with governance, regulatory, and organizational standards
- Assist with upgrades, enhancements, and system maintenance activities
- Participate in integrated testing and validation efforts
- Support Behavioral Health implementation initiatives within Epic
- Configure and optimize workflows related to:
- Patient Belongings documentation and tracking
- Provider Collaboration workflows
- Patient Safety documentation
- Security-focused configurations and controls
- Assist with workflow design, build validation, testing, and go-live support
- Partner with clinical, security, and operational stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant workflows
- Active Epic certification in ClinDoc and Orders
- 3+ years of Epic build and support experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting BAU operations in a live Epic environment
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation workflows and order management
- Experience supporting integrated testing and release cycles
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience supporting Behavioral Health implementations
- Experience configuring Patient Safety or Security-related Epic workflows
- Experience working in complex, multi-facility healthcare environments
