Data Architect (Remote, Canada)
The Select Group is seeking a Data Architect to join our client on an engagement focused on designing and implementing a secure, scalable, privacy-compliant clean room data architecture. We are seeking a senior-level Data Architect who can serve in a consultative, advisory capacity while also driving hands-on solution design.
 
What you'll bring:

• 8+ years in data architecture, engineering, or solution design with proven experience in data platform architecture.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, secure data sharing).
• Strong hands-on experience with data clean room or equivalent privacy-preserving data-sharing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Google BigQuery and cloud-native data pipeline design across multi-cloud environments.
• Experience defining security, access control, and governance policies for inter-company data exchange.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or scripting for data transformation and orchestration.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide architectural guidance and mentor data engineering teams.

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of the clean room data-sharing solution.
• Define and implement secure Snowflake-to-BigQuery data flows, including ingestion, schema mapping, transformation strategy, and validation pipelines.
• Develop architectural standards for privacy-preserving data collaboration, ensuring clean room design meets enterprise and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on best practices for Snowflake configuration, data partitioning, and role-based access to enable controlled data exchange.
• Design the security model governing authentication, token management, and API or VPN-based data transfers.
• Partner with client data engineering teams to build, test, and optimize cross-cloud pipelines.
• Establish architectural documentation, governance frameworks, and deployment guardrails to support scalability and ongoing compliance.
