About the Role
Our client is growing out a new team and seeking a Data Developer to support business-critical analytics and reporting initiatives. This role focuses on pulling insights, querying data, and developing dashboards that drive strategic decisions for access network improvements, service delivery speed, and capital efficiency.
You’ll play a key role in building scorecards to track network evolution, ensuring projects deliver measurable impact, and supporting ad-hoc data/BI requests from engineering leadership. This is a high-visibility role with strong opportunities for long-term growth and conversion to full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and deploy custom analyses and recurring reporting through SQL queries, data extraction, monitoring, documentation, and dashboarding.
- Develop data visualizations (primarily in Tableau) that make complex, high-volume data digestible for engineering and leadership teams.
- Handle frequent ad-hoc requests, providing timely and actionable insights across multiple business units.
- Create scorecards to measure multi-year network changes and ensure positive outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and communicate insights that influence decisions.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting processes and analytics frameworks.
- 60–70% SQL querying
- 30–40% data visualization/reporting
- 5–10% stakeholder engagement and presentation building
Must-Have Skills
- Strong SQL querying experience (heavy hands-on work)
- Business Intelligence and/or Data Analysis experience
- Data visualization expertise – Tableau preferred (open to Power BI, Looker, Google Viz, etc.)
- Ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable communication for stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset and curiosity to connect data to business outcomes
- Python scripting for automation/analysis
- Experience working with Big Data environments
- AWS or other cloud services experience (data lake interactions)
- Telecom industry experience
- Prior experience solving business problems through analytics (e.g., customer churn analysis, competitor profiling, etc.)
We’re seeking a curious and business-oriented data professional – someone who not only works with data but also understands its broader impact on business goals. The most successful team members in this role are those who can draw meaningful insights, communicate them effectively, and tie their work to real-world outcomes.
