Manual (UAT) Tester
We are seeking a BA/Manual UAT Tester to support high-impact, fast-paced software testing efforts. This role plays a critical part in monthly User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles across approximately 10–12 concurrent projects. The right candidate will have strong manual testing experience, excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
This will be a long-term contract role with the opportunity to convert to a full-time position in the future. The position is based in St. Louis, MO, with a hybrid schedule: onsite 4 days per week, and 1 day remote.
You'll be part of a tight-knit, essential team that works side-by-side—fostering close collaboration, real-time communication, and strong team dynamics. This setup supports the demanding pace of the projects while creating an environment where teamwork and accountability are key to success.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of manual testing / UAT experience
- Strong ability to write and execute test cases from business documentation
- Experience with defect tracking & triage
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with telecom or mobile-related testing
- Background in high-visibility, fast deployment environments
- Comfortable with on-the-job learning, shadowing, and working independently
- Prior experience in multi-project test execution
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform 95% manual UAT testing for mobile-related projects.
- Execute test cases across monthly deployment cycles (3-week testing periods).
- Create test cases and use cases based on documentation and business requirements from other teams.
- Handle 10–12 simultaneous projects per month.
- Participate in daily execution goals and meet or exceed expectations.
- Conduct defect triage and tracking using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
- Manage current testing cycles while preparing for the next cycle at the same time
