Job Title: Integrity Engineer

Remote/Onsite: Mostly remote (Local candidates will occasionally be asked to come onsite for collaboration as needed)

Project Details:

  • High Pressure Integrity Assessments focused on pipeline integrity and facility management
 
Must Have Skills:
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience as an Engineer, Inspector, or similar
  • Knowledge of integrity management and assessments for distribution or transmission pipelines
  • Ability to understand integrity assessment data with knowledge of pipeline repair procedures
  • Additional key words or conversation points: ASME B31.8, B31.8S, 49 CFR 192, API 1163, SP 0502, CFR 49 part 192 or 195, NACE
  • Oil and Gas experience
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in oral, written, and electronic forms to internal and external stakeholders  
    Nice to Have Skills:
  • ASME/ANSI B31G
  • NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) certification
  • R-STRENG experience
  • Experience with Esri database or GIS products
 
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Petrochemical, Geology, etc)

Day to day responsibilities:

 
  • Conduct QA/QC of legacy integrity assessment records, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and validate assessment data from in-line inspections (ILI), pressure tests, direct assessments (ECDA, ICDA, SCCDA), and nondestructive examinations.
  • Analyze operational and integrity data to identify conditions that may impact pipeline integrity, including corrosion, mechanical damage, or other threats.
  • Partner with internal teams—including Pipeline Integrity Management, Operations, and Asset Management
  • Review and maintain all project records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Interpret and apply state and federal codes (ASME B31.8, B31.8S, 49 CFR 192, API 1163, NACE standards, etc.) and industry best practices.
  • Throughout this project to approve legacy records, will receive ongoing training, with the goal of transitioning this contractor towards more project related work. That project would include establishing the appropriate technologies/methodologies to inspect assets, analyze and validate assessment data, perform remaining strength calculations for pipeline features (e.g., RSTRENG, API 579, etc.), and determine appropriate response to maintain asset integrity.
