Location: Jackson, MS (Onsite 4–5 Days/Week)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a large healthcare provider in Jackson, MS. This role will be focused on gathering and translating business requirements into detailed design documentation, supporting development teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and ensuring solutions align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who can bridge business needs with technical delivery and provide oversight to ensure compliance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with healthcare stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Develop detailed requirements, functional designs, and supporting documentation (BRDs, traceability, design docs).
- Translate business needs into clear technical documentation for development teams.
- Provide oversight during development to validate that deliverables align with requirements.
- Support high-level QA/validation of deliverables (not hands-on testing).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, development, and QA) to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Contribute to meeting minutes, status reports, and other documentation as needed.
Must-Have Skills
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience creating functional/design documentation.
- Strong communication skills to bridge business and technical teams.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working on or supporting public benefit assistance programs (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Care, Disaster Supplemental Programs).
- Exposure to systems supporting these programs (MMIS, eligibility systems, case management, etc.).
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
