TECHNICAL TRAINER/TECHNICAL WRITER | REMOTE (EST)
The Select Group is looking for a talented Technical Trainer/Writer to join one of our top clinical research partners. This person will provide enterprise-wide training and in-depth support on the computer policies and standard software/hardware. They will be working with other senior trainers to oversee daily training operations, coach new team members, lead team strategy sessions, and represent the team in meetings.

TECHNICAL TRAINER/TECHNICAL WRITER REQUIREMENTS

  • Portfolio or work sample
  • 5+ years of technical trainer experience in an academic or corporate IT setting
  • Teaching via classroom and web conference
  • Experience designing and developing instructional materials, computer-based training, and user reference materials
  • Designing and developing websites or web content
  • Creates and update documentation for instruction manuals and reference materials for learning centers.
  • Supporting Microsoft office and enterprise-wide computer systems
  • Tech Skills: Articulate, SharePoint On-Line, InDesign, Adobe Creative Cloud, Captivate design tools
  • Technical writing and instructional design
  • E-Learning Authoring
  • Multimedia Integration, User Experience (UX) design
  • AI tools (specifically Synthesia)
  • Azure

TECHNICAL TRAINER/TECHNICAL WRITER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead technical training projects
  • Technical writing: Creation of quick reference cards, instructions, and learning center
  • Perform training needs assessments for assigned projects
  • Document how-to-use client standard software/hardware, as well as related business processes and policies
  • Participate in development of enterprise-wide policies governing technology use
  • Design, develop, promote, deliver, evaluate, and maintain instructor-led and computer-based training courses on use of DCRI standard software/hardware
  • Provide in-depth coaching/support for staff, executive management, and faculty on use of client standard software and hardware
  • Manage class scheduling, materials inventory, and student records for assigned projects
  • Facilitate configuration of training lab computers for assigned projects
  • Cross-train backup instructors for assigned projects
  • Design, develop, and maintain Intranet sites for assigned projects
  • Cross-train backup instructors for assigned projects
  • Review training/documentation deliverables developed by other team members
  • Work with team to manage Technical Training email and voicemail
  • Work with team to establish training tools, processes, and promotional strategies
  • Participate in client training initiatives
  • Work on special projects as assigned
