Project Manager:
The Select Group is looking for a Project Manager for one of their top telecommunication clients. This is going to be a short-term contract, located in Denver, CO. As a Project Manager you will be supporting their Network Engineering Operation (NEO) projects by gathering data and preparing reports, tracking costs and performance, interacting with internal customers, and establishing project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time.

Project Manager Requirements:

  • 0-2 years’ enterprise technology project-based team experience as Project Manager or Systems Analyst 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, in both written and verbal forms 
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of all assigned projects and gains consensus from stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. 
  • Basic Knowledge of network platforms 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects and assignments. 
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and project members. 
  • Education or work experience with the following network concepts and network components is preferred: network routing, network switching, routers, switches, OLTs, ONUs, ATAs, pluggable optics. 
  • Strong user of Excel and Lucidchart 
Plus Skills:
  • Experience in telecommunications and/or the cable industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira or other enterprise ticketing system is preferred. 

Project Manager Responsibilities: 
Supporting the Core and Backbone project. This person is expected to assist in planning, managing, and monitoring 1-3 small or 1 medium project from concept through implementation.
  • Initiate ticket intake and manage projects within their Jira ticketing system.  
  • Interact with various internal teams to ensure projects stay on track. 
  • Assists to establish project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet high quality standards and Leadership expectations using the appropriate tools. 
  • Meets with internal customers of an assigned project to provide status updates and reports and gather project-related feedback. 
  • Responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Tracks costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met. 
  • Assists with gathering data and preparing a variety of reports covering project estimates, project status and other management reports.
