WI-FI ANALYST – DENVER, CO.
The Select Group is currently hiring for a Wi-Fi Analyst to support one of our top clients in the Communications sector! The ideal candidate will come from a background in Wi-Fi networking, with experience utilizing SQL and Excel for data analysis and good knowledge of Python for automation. This is an onsite position that will require this person to work onsite at their headquarters in Greenwood Village, CO.. WI-FI ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-5 years of Wi-Fi network professional experience
• Data analysis experience using SQL (experience with querying data) and Excel (background with formula, pivot tables and vlookups)
• Knowledge and use of development/automation tools, application frameworks, and testing tools such as Python, Shell, BASH, Ansible (e.g., automating deployment, configuration, and management tasks), YAML, XML.
• Demonstrable experience troubleshooting wireless network and infrastructure system impacts, with a keen ability to quickly assess and resolve wireless service impairments.
• Understanding of Wi-Fi networking and routing
WI-FI ANALYST NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:
• Working knowledge of Splunk, Netscout (nG1, nBA, nSA, Ngenius Pulse), Cisco Matrix, Wireshark, and additional network monitoring, packet analysis, and analytics tools
• Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.).
Proficient knowledge of IP routing, routing protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, as well as enabling and troubleshooting protocols and platforms such as DHCP, DNS, and Wireless network requirements.
• understanding of AAA and Wi-Fi gateways)
• Juniper or Cisco router experience- understanding of OSI layers
• CCNA
WI-FI ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Main focus in this role will be in the analysis and manipulation of network data
• Utilize Python scripting for automation
• Assist in upgrading network equipment out in the field and support code upgrades
