Cloud Engineer / Kubernetes Engineer (Onsite, Littleton, CO)
The Select Group is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer / Kubernetes Engineer to join our telecom client's dynamic team based in the Denver metro area. This is a full onsite role, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud and containerization technologies in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters running on a VMware platform. You will also design automation solutions from scratch using Python and Ansible to support operational excellence and scalability.

Cloud Engineer / Kubernetes Engineer Skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; OR at least **six (6) years of equivalent related professional experience
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification (Required)
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters on VMware platforms
  • Expertise in building and maintaining Kubernetes environments (cluster creation, upgrades, scaling, etc.)
  • Ability to code from scratch in Python and Ansible to automate deployment and management tasks
  • 4+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Strong ability to document requirements, resolve conflicts, and manage ambiguities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey technical solutions clearly and effectively
Cloud Engineer / Kubernetes Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Build, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on VMware infrastructure
  • Support and optimize existing Kubernetes environments for scalability, resilience, and performance
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling in Python and Ansible to streamline operations
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to define container strategies and solutions
  • Provide documentation for systems and processes, ensuring best practices are followed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud and containerized environments
