Location: 

  • Downtown, Houston, TX
  • Mon- Thurs onsite, Friday WFH 

Project Details: The main function of a Data Management Associate is to support the organization’s data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility by managing and maintaining databases and data systems. A typical Data Management Associate is responsible for data entry, validation, reporting, and ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
 
Must Have Skills:
  • 5-7 years of Data Governance experience 
  • Must have experience with Atlan, and some understanding with Monte Carlo; both are data governance tools
  • Experience with data cataloging and tagging 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and validation 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify trends or discrepancies 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database systems
Soft Skills:
  • strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical teams 
  • strong organizational and time management skills 
Nice to have Skills:
  • GCP or Azure Cloud Experience 
Education/certification requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information management, business or related field (prefer CS or Data related degree) 
Day to Day responsibilities:
• Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
•       May facilitate the development and management of project budget, projected benefit, and financial impact forecasts, and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other project expenditures to projections.
•       Develop communication plan to meet project objectives and ensure stakeholder awareness at all appropriate gates and critical decision points, in addition to regular updates.
•       Publish periodic project status and progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
•       Leverage cross-functional relationships with the business and strategic partners for successful completion of project objectives.
•       Manage large-scale projects spanning multiple years with significant O&M and Capital Budgets with complex dependencies and competing objectives.
•       Leverage best practices and innovative skills and techniques in the field of project management for advanced-level project management and execution.
