Manufacturing Test Engineer

Seattle, WA

The Select Group is looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer to support an American multinational technology company that specializes in e-commerce, cloud computing and much more.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Software Developers and Hardware Development Engineers to design and validate solutions for our hardware platforms.
Have an understanding of hardware development life cycle and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling. Be able to take requirements and turn them into solutions.
Develop automation frameworks and test tools; Write scripts to automate tests.
Develop firmware/scripts/applications to test the hardware.
Work concurrently with the design engineers to provide design for testability (DFT) feedback throughout the design process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years professional experience in hardware development/validation/test. This includes proven experience with defining, developing and implementing manufacturing test strategy for new products.
Experience with test automation with background in scripting.
5+ years of Linux and Python experience.
Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment.
Proven track record of developing validation test software tools for products from concept through production.
Experience with EE fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with International CM Partners and ability to support domestic CMs on-site.
Experience with reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage to ensure products are built free of manufacturing defects.
Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
Experience in working with cross-functional teams and partnering closely with electronics engineers to deliver fully integrated real-world solutions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to generate and communicate meaningful development metrics.

Hourly Pay Range for this position: $67.00 - $74.00
