Technical Content Writer
Location: Remote (EST preferred)
Duration: 6+ month rolling contract
Overview
We’re looking for a junior Technical Content Writer to create clear, concise, and engaging content that helps customers understand and get the most out of advanced technology solutions. This role works closely with engineers, product experts, and other stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, well-structured materials for professional audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a range of technical content, including guides, use case documents, white papers, best practice documentation, newsletters, and product usage communications.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Edit and proofread content for grammar, formatting, style, and brand alignment.
- Support all phases of the product lifecycle and customer journey through timely, targeted content.
- Use project management and content management tools to track, manage, and deliver content.
- Apply formatting and design principles to make content visually clear and engaging.
- Collect and analyze content performance metrics to measure effectiveness and inform improvements.
- 2+ years of experience creating technical content for professional audiences.
- Ability to work with SMEs to simplify complex technical topics.
- Basic understanding of technology terminology and concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Design skills with Adobe InDesign, Express, and PDF tools.
- Experience with content management systems (MadCap Flare, Xyleme a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, formatting, and design consistency.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
