DevOps Engineer I

DEVOPS ENGINEER - PLANO, TEXAS

Location: 5 days onsite, Plano, Texas
Duration: 6+ months (likely to extend or convert)

• Ansible: Ability to build playbooks from scratch for automation.
• Kubernetes: Hands-on experience managing workloads (no need to build clusters), troubleshooting pods, scaling, etc.
• Grafana & Prometheus: Used for observability and performance monitoring of VMs.
• Linux: Strong foundational knowledge, system administration, and command-line proficiency.

• Experience with Rancher (for Kubernetes management).
• LPIC (Linux Professional Institute Certification) or similar 

• Develop Ansible playbooks from scratch to automate repetitive tasks and infrastructure configurations.
• Work with Kubernetes clusters to troubleshoot and resolve issues such as pod crashes and scaling inefficiencies.
• Monitor virtual machine health and performance using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Support ongoing Linux system administration tasks; maintain high availability and performance of systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational readiness, migration efforts, and DevOps best practices.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
