The Select Group, a full-service recruiting firm specializing in the placement of technology, engineering and executive-level positions, has been named 25th in Triangle Business Journal’s Fast 50 companies for 2011. The recognition places The Select Group among the fastest-growing private companies in the Triangle.
Fast 50 winners were selected and ranked based on a formula that counts revenue growth and profitability from 2008 to 2010. Numbers were analyzed by PricewaterhouseCoopers to determine this year’s honorees.
The Select Group, which has 45 full-time employees in the Triangle, has experienced significant growth over the past 12 months. This includes opening new sales offices across the country in cities like San Diego and Washington, D.C., and engaging in business on an international level. The company added 25 employees over the past year and plans to hire at least 25 more at various branches in 2012.
“Our strategy is to continually target large markets across the country where we have an existing customer base,” says Sheldon Wolitski, The Select Group’s founder and CEO. “Our focus is to continue making an impact in our current market while translating this success to other markets we serve.”
“This year’s Fast 50 winners show tremendous strength in the face of turbulent markets,” says Bryan Hamilton, Triangle Business Journal’s publisher. “They are injecting cash into our economy and are on the forefront of creating jobs in our communities.”
This year’s winners will be featured in Triangle Business Journal’s Nov. 18 print edition and were honored during a ceremony Nov. 15 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham.
