Zach Earls Named to SIA 40 Under 40 List for 2017

Staffing Industry Analyst (SIA) released its new 40 Under 40 list highlighting the field’s rising leaders. The Select Group was proud to have its Executive Vice President of Sales & Delivery, Zach Earls, named to the list.

When it comes to accomplishments, Zach Earls says he’s proudest of being able to help others succeed in the staffing industry. Presently, Earls is executive VP of sales and delivery for The Select Group. The Raleigh, N.C.-based IT staffing provider had one branch and $11.8 million in annual revenue when Earls joined the company in 2009 as a recruiter; it now has 13 locations and revenue of $131 million, and Earls has played an integral part in that growth.

“Whatever part I might play in terms of success in those around me, it’s really rewarding for me,” Earls says. In addition to helping others succeed, Earls is motivated by continuing to improve his own abilities, the pursuit of excellence in his craft. “Whether it’s personal or professional development, each day is a new opportunity for growth. The aim is to always climb higher; there is always room to improve,” he says.

Looking to the industry, Earls says there will always be the need for the “connective element” to bring candidates and companies together, and that human element will remain even as the world becomes more automated. “I just feel like no matter how many processes can be automated, this is a people business. Relationships matter.”
