A personalized approach for a consultant in need
A Select Group recruiter reached out to a co-worker who was working on filling positions for one of our top clients. She had the perfect person for one of their roles: a front-end developer named Jason, who had been previously placed by The Select Group four times – three of them through the recruiter, personally.
After Jason’s last engagement ended, he was diagnosed with cancer and unable to work a standard 40-hour, 8-5 work week. He desperately needed a position with flexibility to make his doctor’s appointments and cancer treatments. From having worked with Jason on several contracts, Lindsay knew his situation, and also knew his work ethic called for unique measures, so she collaborated with her co-worker and the hiring manager on Jason’s situation. After a few conversations, Jason received a job offer that accommodated his unique need and he started working within the week.
Lindsay’s commitment to her consultant shined a bright light in a seemingly dim situation. The Select Group created a solution where Jason could focus on his health instead of searching for a job because ultimately we are in the people business and we want our consultants and clients to have a positive experience.
