Wireless Network Engineer

WIRELESS NETWORK ENGINEER- 100% REMOTE
One of The Select Group’s top clients is looking for a Wireless Network Engineer to join their Network and Communication Services team. This client is one of the largest and most integrated healthcare system in the Southeast. The client is looking for someone to act as a Wireless SME for all troubleshooting related incidents in the system. This role will sit 100% remote and will primarily work EST hours.

WIRELESS NETWORK ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of Cisco Wired and Wireless experience
• 3+ Years working with Cisco Wireless Controllers and various access point models
• Experience with wireless site survey troubleshooting tools
• Cisco ISE knowledge
• Cisco Prime experience

PLUS SKILLS:

• Cisco DNA Center experience
• CISSP
• Microsoft Certifications

WIRELESS NETWORK ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proactively tracks and reviews wireless network performance, identifies performance issues, and takes ownership to drive towards resolution/improvement
• Conducting site surveys and on-site assessments and preparing schematic diagrams for recommended and efficient continuing supports/installations.
• Developing and maintaining network documentation.
• Network performance monitoring (bandwidth, throughput, end user experience) for proactive coverage & capacity additions.
• Monitoring protocol compatibility, performing system tuning, and making recommendations for improvement.
• Provides network performance assessment following major network changes to ensure any negative performance impact is quickly identified and mitigated
• Identify pain points and collaborate with regions to identify and resolve issues
