Job Title: Systems Engineer I
Job Duration: 6 months – possibility to convert some

Location: Littleton, CO OR Cheyenne, WY

Project Details:

• As a consultant, you’ll be a part of the Wireless Team helping build out the cloud engineering practice by resolving tickets, helping with virtualization efforts, and executing on deployments.

Must Have Skills:

• 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Must have experience as an engineer resolving T1, T2, and T3 tickets
• VMware is primary focus
  • Building and administering multiple VMware products across multiple locations and data centers
  • Working with VMware services and tools
• must understand how to run scripted actions
• familiarity with Linux operating system

Nice to Have Skills:

• K8S experience

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent

Day to day responsibilities:

• • Help manage the ticket queue
  • Timely response to priority tickets that come through the NOC due to outages
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and documenting the actions
  • Help restore service at outage sites
  • Running scripts and performing deployments based on SOP’s and MOP’s
  • Perform scheduled health checks

Typical Workflow:

• • Outage occurs
  • If NOC notices the outage they will submit a ticket
  • Ticket submittal notifies on call personnel via splunk on call
  • Personnel responds by joining the call bridge
  • Kick off of troubleshooting process
  • If its within their realm – review SOP’s and run books to restore service
  • If there is not an incident – need to perform regular queue management
  • Expects engineers and NOC to take of deployment through Jira
