TRANSPORT ENGINEER

The Select Group is currently hiring for a Transport Engineer to join as a resource for one of our clients within the telecommunications sector that will sit onsite 100% in Denver, CO specifically Littleton. This Engineer will be supporting the dark fiber optic initiatives therefore this consultant should have a strong expertise in optic fiber technologies as well as strong hands on experience configuring and maintaining routers and switches. TRANSPORT ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years’ worth of experience at the professional level working with fiber providers
• Must have hands on experience maintaining and configuring Cisco switches and routers
• Preferred but not required possession of a CCNA, Comp TIA, or Juniper JNCIA certifications
• Fiber optic design experience
• Ethernet routing expertise
• Working knowledge of DWDM & CWDM
• Ring topology exposure
• Experience using NetCracker or other inventory tools

TRANSPORT ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mainly will be handling the optic design of dark fiber paths from start to finish with engineering and architecture guidance
• Supporting cell site vendors to ensure the technicians and engineers are on track with project goals and initiatives
• Determining how to inventory circuits within Netcracker and documenting findings for higher level executive viewership
• Ensuring data integrity within NetCracker
