SR. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR – ON-SITE
A top client in the mortgage insurance space is partnering with The Select Group for a Sr. Linux Administrator opportunity! This consultant will sit on-site at either their Winston-Salem, NC or Radnor, PA office depending on your current location. Ideally, candidates will be open to eventually converting to a full-time position once the contract duration has completed. Please review the details below and apply today!

SR. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR – OVERVIEW
This consultant must be able to work in a team setting and help manage ~150 RHEL 7 OS installations that are installed on a mix of physical hardware, VMware VM’s, and Amazon EC2.

This consultant will work with RedHat Satellite to maintain OS patching and security updates. They will also develop automation tasks using technologies such as Ansible w/Tower, Python, Terraform and Bash scripting and assist with migration of current on prem infrastructure to AWS. They will also perform CIS hardening and regular review of NESSUS security appliance compliance scan reports.

User management is performed through a HelpSystems BoKS application, and performs SFTP administration for incoming, outgoing, pickup of EDI files. The consultant will also be expected to participate in an on-call rotation. During this time the on-call person will monitor a team inbox for any requests / issues as well as respond to any Solarwinds/Everbridge alerts.

SR. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR – MUST HAVE SKILLS:
1. 5 years of Linux Admin experience (Red Hat is strongly desired)
2. Scripting knowledge
– Shell (Bash, ksh)
– Python
– Ansible
– Splunk query language
3. VMware experience

SR. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR – NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• SAN experience preferred.
• Firewall experience required.
  • IPtables/NFtables

• BIND DNS Management experience preferred.
• Basic networking understanding
  • Routing
  • Vlan
  • NIC bonding

• UCS Hardware knowledge preferred.
  • UCS Blade hardware
  • UCS Manager

• SNMP OS monitoring knowledge preferred.
• Ability to provide technical documentation.

SR. LINUX ADMINISTATOR – DAILY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Managing the infrastructure in the data center
• Scripting
• Troubleshooting problems, administering discs, creating virtual machines on VMware
• Closing tickets
• Working on operating systems/storage tasks

SR. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR – ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
This consultant should be self-sufficient, they can sacrifice some experience for a willingness to learn, ideal candidate would be willing to touch a lot of areas.

Required to be on-site 4 days per week and remote 1 day per week (preference is Winston-Salem, NC but also open to Radnor, PA).
