SDET/AUTOMATION ENGINEER – DENVER, CO.
The Select Group is currently hiring for an Automation Testing Engineer/SDET to join as a resource for one of our clients within the telecommunications industry. This resource can work 100% remote, but the preference is that you are local to the Denver area to come into the office as needed. This Engineer will be joining the Software Quality Assurance team responsible for managing mobile and web applications that interact with customers/clients on a daily basis known as the self-service applications. The goal is to test the validity of the front-end code written in Typescript and with the Angular framework by using Webdriver.IO testing tools on the UI and some back-end API’s as needed. This client is requiring a true SDET/Automation Engineer that is confident and well versed in very similar roles recently contributed to.

SDET/AUTOMATION ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of Automation/SDET experience with a focus on testing code based on the Front End/UI side of the application – automating the testing processes.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum best practices
• Hands-on coding experience in TypeScript
• Background using Webdriver.IO for automation testing of software.
• Understanding/knowledge of API testing
• Ability to work on-call rotation

SDET/AUTOMATION ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This SDET will join our client’s SSPP division, testing both web and mobile customer-facing applications mainly on the front-end code rather than back-end code
• The role is 100% automation focused and will include about 80% UI testing and 20% API testing.
• This SDET will engage in troubleshooting, testing, researching issues, coding, and overall application support.
• Attend and contribute to daily stand-up meetings within an Agile methodology environment
