Senior Application Support Consultant

One of The Select Group’s clients is looking to bring on a Senior Application Support Consultant. This individual will be working within the support team on advanced tickets and interacting with customers to help solve their problems through troubleshooting.

Must Have Skills:

• Experience with advanced troubleshooting in a Linux-based production environment
• Strong SQL experience; writing queries, understanding of joins and unions, and writing stored procedures
• Experience writing Shell scripts
• Customer-facing personality; Willingness to support clients and troubleshoot advanced tickets

Daily Responsibilities:

• Working in the application support team on highly technical issues and solving them
• Interacting with clients to help with any troubleshooting problems
• Taking on advanced tickets that have been escalated up by the level 1, 2, 3 app support engineers
• Working on global outages and interacting with the development teams in the production environment
• Writing complex SQL queries & Shell/Bash scripts in a Linux environment
• Supporting a Linux based app that analyzes payment data to find unusual or fraudulent experiences for both government and commercial clients
