PROJECT MANAGER II REQUIREMENTS:

• Project Management background (mid-level)
• Telecommunications experience – required
  • Field Ops exposure – Understanding technology with field ops installation work
  • Ex: Site surveys, work orders, CPE’s
• Excel, PPT experience – used for documentation
• Basic PM skillsets – scheduling, reporting, and driving deadlines in a fast-paced environment

PROJECT MANAGER II RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fiber line: there’s a lot of requests coming in from users that want bandwidth where they’ll be able to stream whatever they want online (cable, apps, etc). There is only so much bandwidth in the current infrastructure and architecture currently that is allowable over either fiber or COAX. As our network architecture evolves we’re able to fit more bandwidth in our fiber and coax lines. That’s being done through a number of new emerging technologies (DOCSIS, DOCSIS 4.0, ZOOMO, etc.) ZOOMO: Aggregate all streaming services into one user interface. As the architecture evolves, the equipment that we have in our house isn’t going to work anymore. Over time as the company changes their architecture and infrastructure the modem in the house won’t be able to realize the speed bandwidth increases that are now being offered in the neighborhood (it won’t be able to carry the capacity that they are now offering). As they do speed lifts and increases, due to new architecture or to be competitive, the equipment isn’t going to be able to support the bandwidth that is now allowable or available to the customers.
