BI PROJECT MANAGER
The Select Group is currently hiring for a Project Manager with hands on Business Intelligence experience to join as a resource for one of our clients within the Telecommunications industry that will sit in with Bellevue, WA, Frisco, TX, or Overland Park, KS and be 100% remote. This Project Manager will be joining the strategic transformation team within this clients financial organization. Therefore this Manager and their team will be supporting the Data/BI financial reporting groups with the main purpose to be around identifying the best profit based resources to use to increase cash flow. Ideally this Manager should have experience working hands on as a BI Analyst or Specialist creating reports and dashboards on large data sets throughout their career while now working at a leadership level overseeing and delegating hands on tasks to less experienced professionals. BI PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ Years Project Management Experience within an enterprise level environment
- Full understanding with multiple projects going through the SDLC (Software Delivery Lifecycle)
- Proficient with tracking project progress using JIRA/JIRA Align
- Data/Business Intelligence Experience
- Experience with Business Intelligence, reporting, data analysis, and interpretation of large databases hands on
- Financial/Accounting background or industry experience is preferred but NOT REQUIRED
- Experience overseeing activities related to the implementation of reporting and analytics of IT or application related data
- Experience using end-user tools to query data sets & create reports (Familiarity with SQL language would be preferred)
- Ability to identify business opportunities that would generate more revenue resources and increase profits based off of data findings
BI PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
- Manage and tracks project delivery and finances to plan and budget
- Identify risks in projects and use proven PM techniques to assess and mitigate
- Examine risks associated with the work, proposed contracts and major changes, and make recommendations for handling or equitable sharing
- Document the impacts on schedule of proposed changes and develop program solutions to minimize the impact and ensure alignment to time and scope
- Facilitate creation of work breakdown structures, develop and update project schedules/plans with actual and forecasted deliverables and manage deviations from plan
- Analyze validity of schedules submitted by outside parties contributing to the project
- Assemble key players on the project team and nurture internal working relationships across the enterprise which fosters the development of cross functional teamwork
- Delegate project responsibilities and task interfaces, direct, motivate and manage the project work and resources involved within the project
