Network Engineer

JUNIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
Location: Durham, NC 27713
Contract Duration: 6 to 8 month long contract with possible extension

Project Details : Address authentication is changing due to Apple’s new privacy feature where the mac address changes every 24 hours (will be implemented on their devices shortly). Team of Network Engineers will work to upgrade VLANS on 600 sites to communicate with Apples update (Mac Address and SSID) in a 6-8-month deadline

NETWORK ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

• Network engineering experience/knowledge.
• Understanding of how to configure changes to a gateway; ability to match access points to network.
• Understanding VLANs as a function and familiarity around building them.
• SSID knowledge: on how SSIDs are built and deployed on controllers.
• Experience writing scripts, writing and updating code – preference python

Nice to Have Skills:

• CCNA/ CCENT
• Ruckus

NETWORK ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Investigating/ analyzing existing network configurations.
• Developing and scripting a new network to existing solution.
• Executing scripts to implement the changes developed.
• Updating site documentation to match changes made.
