Lucidworks Engineer

The Select Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lucidworks Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in elevating the search and discovery experience our client’s website. In this role, you will collaborate with top industry experts, optimize data pipelines, implement cloud-based solutions, and enhance search performance to create a personalized user experience.

Job Description: As a Lucidworks Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing advanced search solutions, optimizing data pipelines, and enhancing search performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless search and discovery experience for our users. Here are the key responsibilities:

Must Have(s):

Engineer Level Role 7-10 years experience — Search Solutions Expertise:

• Experience implementing search solutions with Lucidworks Fusion/Solr, SOLR, and Lucene.
• Proficiency in engineering new data ingestion pipelines and optimizing query pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of Lucidworks Fusion for adding new objects and system enhancement.

Cloud and Infrastructure Proficiency:

• Experience building enterprise applications on a cloud service such as AWS.
• Familiarity with AWS concepts and infrastructure.
• Ability to engineer architectural designs in Solr to improve search performance.

Data and Performance Optimization:

• Expertise in developing the fastest data search methods for large volume data.
• Proficiency in creating and applying search rules using the Rules Editor.
• Practical knowledge and application of machine learning and deep learning techniques for search and recommendation systems.

General Technical Skills:

• Practical knowledge of search engines and recommendation systems.
• Hands-on experience with technologies like React and Spring Boot.
• Strong indexing and querying skills.
• Familiarity with solar search engine.

Day to Day/ Job Description:

• Implement advanced search solutions (Lucidworks Fusion/Solr, SOLR, Lucene).
• Optimize data pipelines for efficient data flow and retrieval.
• Develop cloud-based enterprise applications on AWS.
• Enhance search performance using Solr.
• Apply machine learning for recommendation systems.
• Customize user experiences with search rules (Rules Editor).
• Collaborate with the team architect on feature development.
• Lead end-to-end engineering (indexing, querying, application development).
• Utilize React, Spring Boot, and Solar search engine.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tech.
• Guide and lead a team using agile methodologies.
• Translate architectural concepts into practical delivery.
• Collaborate with SOI team for personalization.
• Conduct POCs for new architectural patterns.
• Research and evaluate new technologies.
