Junior Risk Analyst

JR RISK ANALYST

The Select Group is seeking a Jr Risk Analyst, passionate about risk management and eager to grow in the field, to support our best banking client in Toronto. This person will be supporting their first line of defense operations.

JR RISK ANALYST REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance), banking background, technology Background with IT teams, applications
• Experience with assessing criticality of applications, disaster recovery and business continuity work, RCSA, BCP
• Proficient with technology applications, and end to end risk assessment
• ITIL and/or COBIT background preferred
• Strong Soft Skills – Outgoing, Hardworking, Confident, Eager to grow

JR RISK ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES

• Risk Governance Business Unit: 1a line of defense function for risk and governance
  • Perform Risk Assessments
  • Represent the business from the technology side supporting the business groups.
  • Triage incoming assessments from the operational risk teams, consolidate requests
  • Distribute and manage RCSAs (Risk Control Self-Assessments)
• Maintain/Support App Cat – application catalog
  • Recovery time objective, Business Continuity Planning, vendor governance,
  • Perform risk assessments on vendor supported applications
  • Analyze inherent risk of applications
  • Support internal resource that manages 270+ applications, changes the criticality, presents findings for CIO approval
