Support Engineer:
The Select Group is looking for a Support Engineer for one of their top telecommunication clients. This is going to be a long term contract, located in Charlotte, NC. You will be responsible for provide technical application support for one of their Ad Recording/Monitoring platforms called Live Edge.
Support Engineer Requirements:
- 0-1+ years of Technical/Application Support and Operation experience - Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Problem-Solving
- Call Center/Customer Service background
- Strong technical acumen and eagerness to learn
- Knowledge of Network Topology and TCP/IP, Network Operations tools, Windows, Linux Operating Systems, and other network operations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
Nice to Have:- App Dev experience/knowledge - specifically Java
- Perform proactive and reactive monitoring of all the fundamental tasks required for the day-to-day operations of Spectrum Reach
- Monitor initial triage, escalation, and resolution of the linear insertion, digital insertion, processes, workflows, and apps
- Manage the communications between the Advanced Monitoring Team and the Network Operations Center Fulfillment, Engineering, Field Tech Operations or any other affected group
- Resolving network problems or faults and escalating such issues as necessary to appropriate parties
- Monitoring traffic patterns to identify potential problem areas and taking corrective action to implement short term adjustments
- Performing basic network operations and functions such as monitoring information on all sites and back haul, identifying deterioration of components, and dispatching/assisting field personnel with repairs
- Providing timely and accurate reports for analysis for the Network Monitoring System
- App Dev experience/knowledge - specifically Java
