NETWORK CONSULTING ENGINEER
Are you a networking professional looking to make a significant impact on mission-critical projects? We’re seeking a Network Consulting Engineer to support key public sector clients, ensuring their networks are designed, deployed, and operating at peak performance. This is a hybrid role, requiring flexibility to work onsite as needed, with approximately 30% travel to customer sites in the New York Metro area, including Westchester, Long Island, parts of New Jersey, and southern Connecticut.
LOCATION: New York, NY (Onsite with travel to customer sites across the region)
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Act as a trusted advisor for state and local government (SLED) customers, providing expert guidance on network design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Deliver complex network solutions, integrating cutting-edge technologies such as ACI, VXLAN, and Nexus 9K.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership teams, advocating for customer needs while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as the go-to technical expert, resolving highly complex network challenges and enhancing system performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive successful outcomes for public sector clients.
- Strong experience with data center technologies:
- ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).
- VXLAN and Nexus 9K switches.
- Service Provider expertise, including MPOS and segment routing networking.
- Proven ability to design and deploy advanced network architectures, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements.
- Experience working across multiple technologies and dynamic environments, with a "jack-of-all-trades" mindset.
- CCNP Certification
- Familiarity with application tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, and ThousandEyes.
- Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying ACI solutions and integrating advanced features into existing systems.
- Work with innovative technologies in a dynamic public sector environment that supports some of the most vital services in the region.
