IGNITION CONTROLS ENGINEER
The Select Group is currently hiring for a Controls Engineer to join as a resource for one of our clients within the Healthcare industry that will be hybrid (3 days onsite) in Sunnyvale, California. This client is looking to implement the Ignition software into their environment therefore, this project is in need of a Controls Engineer with an expertise in Ignition to come in and assist with a seamless implementation. Ideally this Engineer will have 5+ years of Controls experience along with 3+ years of Ignition expertise including specific modules and programming languages for automation purposes. IGNITION CONTROLS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideally 5-8 years of Automation Controls experience within an enterprise environment ideally within the healthcare space
• 3-4 years of experience with direct hands on Ignition software exposure
• Experience with Ignition modules: Vision and Perspective
• Experience with the programming languages Expression or Python or Jython
• Familiarity with PLC engineering exposure

PLUS SKILLS:

• Hands on expertise with SCADA/MES

IGNITION CONTROLS ENGINEER RESPONSBILITIES:

• Perform installation, calibration, configuration, and maintenance activities on wired and wireless instrumentation
• Perform troubleshooting for process equipment hardware and programming of controllers such as PLCs, HMI, VFDs
• Leverage the Ignition and Perspective platforms to develop software solutions to solve business needs
• Monitor and maintain high levels of security, reliability, and performance of the Ignition software as well as all projects
• Perform complex and precise troubleshooting to pinpoint root causes for issues identified by the manufacturing and support teams
• Works with end users to identify areas of improvement for the Ignition applications
• Participates in blueprinting, requirements gathering, and other planning functions for new projects
• Performs code review to verify changes made by other developers
