Forensics Consultant

We are looking for Forensics Consultant to join the top Utility company in Southern California.

Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years of strong digital forensics experience

• Extensive experience retrieving data from various mailboxes in 0365

• Experience managing security and risk through the Security Center of 0365

• Experience using a variety of the following Core Forensic Investigation Tools: Encase, FTK (forensic toolkit), Axiom (product by Magnet Forensics) etc

• Proficiency with Disk Forensic Imaging tools such as: Falcon and Tableau

• Ability to decrypt forensic drives using Bitlocker

Day to day responsibilities:

• Conduct digital forensic security investigations aimed at identifying, resolving, and preventing complex and diverse insider threats and violations

• Gather and analyze evidence, using a variety of forensics tools and processes to reveal key data from multiple digital sources

• Employ a variety of forensics tools and techniques to investigate complex and diverse insider threats and policy violations; coordinate appropriate notifications / escalations; gather and handle evidence; recover and examine data from computers, storage devices, cloud repositories, etc.; rebuild damaged systems to recover data

• Perform various assessments of security vulnerabilities and protocols to ensure the continuing development of security protection technology as it relates to defending and protecting the company and its customers.

Remote Info: Local to San Diego-as they will need to come into the office 1-2 days per week to perform forensic analysis on physical devices.
