Project Details:
The Select Group is looking for an end-to-end Customer Onboarding and Data Steward/ Consultant to:
1. Manage Customer Master Data and
2. Create new processes and procedures as to how new customers will be onboarded. There are multiple categories when it comes to Master Data (Manufacturing, Customer, Product, Suppliers etc.). In this case, this team is concerned about the Customer aspect, specifically, Customer Data Management with respect to the Order to Cash function, which involves onboarding new Customers (gathering legal documents, shipping terms, governance issues etc.).
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- If they have worked extensively on Customer Master Data in the Order to Cash space, then that takes priority over this specific type of degree
- Minimum of 3 years in Customer Master Data steward role & Order to Cash environment in medium to large organization and/or Shared Services environment
- Huge NTH if they come from a manufacturing field where they have been exposed with the MF end-to-end Order to Cash Process
- ~5+ years of systems/data analysis of Customer Master Data
- Experience designing new processes and procedures when it comes to managing Customer Master Data
- Will be working with cross-functional teams to come up with a playbook
- They will also be the point of contact internally to the business for any Master Data escalations
- They will not be doing any of the implementation of the new processes, just identifying the process and policies to streamline onboarding
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Accountable for overall data stewardship activities for core customer master data and select extended attributes, customer rosters/memberships, and policies/procurement
- Works with functional SMEs/owners to develop policies, work instructions and standard operating procedures for On-boarding new customers and maintaining existing customer master data quality.
- Manage new customer set-ups and changes in support of business processes. Create and edit master data according to established policies and instructions.
- Serves as an escalation point for all incoming customer master related queries and data issues originating due to data quality
- Reviews and prioritizes data issues and as required escalates issues to SMEs / Stakeholders
- Support investigation and resolution of standard customer master data problems. Collaborate on the coordination of activities with other internal departments to address data issues.
- Maintain an excellent level of Customer master data consistency and integrity across all systems. Observe and correct customer master data inconsistencies.
- Recommend improvements to processes and controls to enable better customer master data quality. Provide subject matter support for customer master projects/initiatives.
- Measures compliance with standards / policies and defines exception remediation approach
- Drives impact analysis of any master data attributes or data sources change, enhancements or change requests. Scrutinizing records coming in a variety of formats for data cleanup.
- Develops and maintains Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with stakeholders for services provided to ensure understanding of support levels and key metrics of performance
- Manage daily, weekly and monthly tasks/reporting. Monitor and provide regular metrics on data quality.
- Facilitates ongoing communication to leadership and all other stakeholders on progress and health of customer master data.
- Meet or exceed stated service level requirement new/changes to CM
