Cloud Solutions Architect IV

CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT- ENGLEWOOD, CO
The Select Groups’ TOP telecommunications client is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join their team in Englewood, Colorado. This person will produce architecture blueprints that guide the development and implementation of cloud solutions across multiple products, providing direction to technical teams during project delivery and ensuring implementations support technology and product roadmaps. This person will have the opportunity to work onsite 3 days per week at our client’s facility.
CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT REQUIREMENTS:

• Architecture Experience
  • Experience designing high availability and disaster recovery / fail-over infrastructures
  • Knowledge of Open Source architectures and/or past contributions to open source projects
  • Design, development and operations experience with highly-available, scalable, and fault tolerant systems
• Automation Experience
  • CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Must-Have Tools:
    • Ansible – proficient / expert level
    • Linux experience
    • Experience Developing automation for cloud lifecycle management and operational improvements
• Strong experience with Public & Private Cloud environments like:
  • AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, Morpheus, etc.
  • Knowledge of enterprise cloud solutions, deploying and running solutions in a private cloud environment, and with public, and hybrid clouds
• Extensive experience with Internet technologies and protocols like:
  • TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, HTTP, etc.
• GitLab Experience
  • Strong experience with (any of the following):
    • Gitlab runners
    • Webhooks
    • Artifactory
  • Open to comparable tools
• Agile/scrum methodologies experience

CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) Certification is a plus.
• Experience with workflow engines in a development or user capacity (Itential, StackStorm, Ansible Tower, etc.)
• Understanding of templates, including Jinja2
• Passion for cloud software, tooling and automation; comfort with command line tools and scripting
• Experience working with integration scripting technologies

CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for creating solutions and presenting compelling recommendations to customers.
• Define operational procedures and practices
• Set up appropriate health-checks, monitoring and escalation procedures
• Accelerate development for roadmap features, to address specific customer requirements
• Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, develop and implement mitigation measures.
• Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the knowledge base, blogs, and brown bag lunches.
• Capture project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices applicable to the broader install base; mentor and coach the internal team through internal training sessions.
• Work closely with Operations to review requirements and feedback, and identify opportunities for platform enhancements
