Job Title: Business Data Analyst

Work Location: Local to LA/OC – moving to hybrid (2 days onsite) in near future

Project Details:

• The pandemic has caused a dramatic increase in the number of data requests and this is likely to increase as the world continues to open up, bringing further requirements to provide data
• This data is coming from Customer Information Systems and the Data Warehouses that host the information
  • The pandemic has introduced many policies around protecting customers and data is required to assess the overall impact to the population

Must Have Skills:

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Must have “techno-functional” experience – Collaborating with the business, interviewing stakeholders, gathering and translating requirements
• Proficient with SQL Server with the ability to develop scripts from scratch
• Experience with Data Visualization (PowerBi strongly preferred but similar, like Tableau, accepted)
• Experience working for large enterprise companies and large data sets (half terabyte, millions of rows)

Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelors Degree required

Day to day responsibilities:

• Taking directions from the Data Governance Lead on long term tasks and initiatives related to data governance and dictionaries
• Working within the Customer Information System and corresponding data warehouse to pull data as needed
• Taking the time to understand the data that currently exists in the data warehouse
• Running SQL queries
• Building dashboards in PowerBi to provide visuals for the customer data
• Providing QA support as needed to ensure data quality
• Creating automated reports to create efficiencies over time
• Working closely with stakeholders to gather and occasionally translate requirements
