BI Developer (Junior)

JR BI DEVELOPER- 100% REMOTE IN ORLANDO, FL (CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL)
The Select Group is currently hiring for a Jr BI Developer to to join the fastest growing insurance brokerage firm in their space. This resource will be creating reporting for financial and leadership teams. The most important skillsets for this role include BI Development/Analysis experience as it pertains to designing dashboards using DAX programming languages and Power BI Report Builder. JR BI DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:

• 0-2 years of BI Development Experience (no more than 2 years)
  • Ability to create reports and dashboards for executives and finance teams
  • First part of project will be to create 4-5 dashboards
    • Have the data sets built, fields are derived
    • Need to set up the dashboards, and ensure it is consistent with the other dashboards being created
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Experience
  • Prior experience with DAX programming
  • Used for dynamic queries and summarization of information/tables
• Power BI Report Builder experience
  • Used for creating paginated reports
  • Ability to determine what data to retrieve, where to get it, and how to display it
  • Understanding of Power BI functionalities and visualization
    • Examples of functions: date & time functions, time intelligence functions, information functions, logical functions, mathematical & trigonometric functions, text functions, parent-child functions, etc.
    • Examples of visualization: bar charts, line charts, pie/donut charts, maps, KPIs, dashboards

JR BI DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Going to be creating reporting for financial and leadership teams
• Examples of work load
  • On a P&L statement, want to be able to drill down revenue percentages
  • Month to date, QTD, YTD reports all on same table
  • ensure that all DAX programming calculations have been vetted and approved by finance
• Work with the CIO to prioritize the reports being requested by financial and leadership teams
