Senior Developer- Remote- Canada
The Select Group is currently seeking talented individual to join our team in a remote capacity within Canada. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our systems, ensuring they meet performance targets and reliability standards.
Senior Developer Must Have Skills:
- Strong experience in a role as a Senior Architect, Senior Developer, or Junior Developer.
- Identity management expertise, particularly with SSO solutions.
- Knowledge and experience with transitioning from Ping Identity to ForgeRock is a plus.
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SPLUNK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Ability to define, measure, and track SLIs and SLOs.
- Canadian residency for at least the past 5 years with no periods of absence exceeding 6 months (to obtain reliability clearance).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a reliability clearance, which includes a 5-year background
Senior Developer Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: As a Senior Architect, Senior Developer, or Junior Developer, you will be an integral part of our operational rotation. You will be responsible for defining, measuring, tracking, and troubleshooting Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure our systems perform optimally.
- Identity Management: You should have experience with identity management systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. Familiarity with transitioning from Ping Identity to ForgeRock platform is highly desirable.
- Software Development: Proficiency in Java is essential, especially for developing and maintaining applications and systems as part of your responsibilities.
- Monitoring Tools: Utilize monitoring tools such as SPLUNK, Prometheus, and Grafana from a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) standpoint to proactively identify and address system issues.
- Building SLOs and SLIs: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) that align with business objectives.
- On-Call Support: Provide on-call support as needed to ensure system reliability and availability.
