QA LEAD / SOLUTION ARCHITECT
We are seeking a talented QA Lead / Solution Architect to join our team and support our telecommunications client in their efforts focused on Test Automation and Lab Optimization. In this role, you will be supporting a discovery-to-design project focused on lab asset management, scheduling, and test case management—conducting stakeholder interviews, analyzing software options, guiding technology selection, and delivering a validated solution design with an implementation plan. This is a hybrid opportunity that is expected to work onsite 3 days out of the week in Kansas City, MO..

Must Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a significant portion in leadership or architectural roles within the telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in QA tool evaluation and selection, with a focus on tools that are relevant to telecommunications lab and test management.
  • Telecommunications Testing: While they won't be testing, they need to understand the methodologies and toolsets for testing in a telecom environment, such as performance, security, and interoperability testing.
  • Deep understanding of telecom infrastructure, including Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and network systems, as this is the environment they'll be designing a solution for.
  • Familiarity with solutions used to manage and schedule physical hardware assets in a telecom lab. This is a critical component of the project.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, specifically with director-level technical staff in a telecom environment who may be focused on network performance and hardware.
  • Jira & Integration: Expert-level knowledge of Jira and its potential integrations with telecom-specific QA tools.
  • An understanding of test automation frameworks used in the telecom space (e.g., Selenium for web interfaces, but also potentially more specialized tools for device-level testing).
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage their own workload without close supervision.

Day to day responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be a single point of accountability for the following deliverables, leveraging their telecom experience to drive the project forward:
  • Discovery & Requirements Gathering: Interviewing the two client directors to define requirements for both a CPE/network lab asset management platform and a test case management system. They must be able to "speak their language" to effectively gather information.
  • Market Analysis & Proof of Concept: Researching, evaluating, and conducting a competitive analysis of software solutions that are a good fit for the telecommunications industry, including a detailed cost analysis.
  • Solution Design & Planning: Creating a high-level solution design document, a detailed implementation plan, and a validated Proof of Concept tailored to the client's telecom environment.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Actively sharing knowledge with the client stakeholders to ensure buy-in for a solution that directly addresses the unique challenges of their telecom lab.
TSG is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
